Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi plays Sita, Yash plays Ravana, Sunny Deol plays Hanuman and Ravi Dubey plays Lakshman. The two-part film is produced by Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations. It will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, with Sony Pictures handling international distribution.
Part one arrives on 5 November 2026. Part two is scheduled for Diwali 2027.
The premiere drew a large guest list, and the film has been in online conversation since its teaser. The production has framed it as an attempt to take an Indian mythological narrative to a global audience, with the Los Angeles screening treated as the launchpad for the international release.
The same week brings a crowded streaming slate for Indian viewers. Vijay Sethupathi's Tamil action-comedy Baththa arrives on Netflix on Thursday, while Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte's period crime drama Akka and Jason Sanjay's directorial debut Sigma, starring Sundeep Kishan, both land on Friday.
Marketing for part one has picked up since the premiere, and the makers say the overseas rollout will be as wide as the domestic one. Part two has already been shot. Conversation online has moved on to the film's score and its visual effects, and to whether it will release in languages beyond the five announced.
