New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate has attached ₹510 crore of assets linked to the Reliance Anil Ambani Group across three fraud cases, the agency said on Tuesday.

In the Reliance Communications case, it attached two chartered aircraft, six land parcels and an office premises in Maharashtra. In the Reliance Home Finance and Reliance Commercial Finance case, it attached two windmills in Tamil Nadu, along with bank balances, fixed deposits, investments and receivables.

"With the above attachments, the ED has cumulatively attached/seized assets worth approximately ₹23,100 crores till date in several cases being investigated against the Reliance Anil Ambani Group under the provisions of PMLA and FEMA," the agency said.

The ED alleged that the group siphoned off public funds from banks and financial institutions, misused the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code to ring-fence corporate assets for personal use, and diverted funds to offshore tax havens. "A large part was utilised for the individual benefit of the promoters and their family," it said.

Ten people have been arrested in the cases. Six prosecution complaints have been filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and one under FEMA.

The investigation rests on cases registered by the CBI in Delhi and the economic offences wings of the Delhi and Mumbai police. Firms named in the probe include Reliance Communications, Reliance Home Finance, Reliance Commercial Finance, Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance Power and Reliance Capital.

In August, the CBI filed an FIR against Reliance Capital and its former chairman Anil Ambani over an alleged loss of ₹1,816.22 crore to the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation.

Ambani has denied any wrongdoing. A spokesperson said the FIR pertains to Reliance Capital, where Ambani served as a non-executive director and chairman from 2005 until November 2021, when the RBI superseded the board and appointed an administrator. "Anil Ambani denies any wrongdoing whatsoever, and reserves all rights available to him in law," the spokesperson said.

The attached assets remain under the agency's custody pending adjudication.
