A DMK councillor in Chennai has been booked for allegedly using objectionable language against Chief Minister Vijay. Separately, the ruling alliance led by Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam unveiled its official name, 'Secular Social Justice Victory Alliance'.
Vijay announces Rs 1,545.50 crore package for two by-poll seats
After TVK won the Madurantakam and Dharapuram by-elections, CM C Joseph Vijay announced projects worth Rs 1,545.50 crore for both seats. Dharapuram's 2,700 homeless will also get free house-site pattas.
