Magnitude 7 quake in Tibet kills 16, flattening hundreds of homes
A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Baqen County in Nagqu, in China's Xizang (Tibet) region, late on Thursday, killing 16 people and injuring 32. More than 300 homes collapsed and over 12,000 people have been relocated, as rescuers worked in high-altitude, freezing conditions.
