Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Reserve Bank of India's newly established Data Centre and Cybersecurity Training Institute in Bhubaneswar on October 25, the Prime Minister's Office said.

The RBI said the facility has been designed to meet the central bank's computing requirements and to provide a secure, resilient and scalable computing ecosystem for the bank and the wider financial sector. Four data centres will host mission-critical payment and settlement systems along with other flagship initiatives.

The facility has been certified to the Uptime Institute Tier IV standard, the global benchmark for data centre infrastructure, placing it in the highest tier of operational resilience. The RBI said it is among the largest Tier IV-certified facilities in the banking, financial services and insurance sector worldwide. It is expected to widen the reach, efficiency and reliability of digital financial services.

The Cyber Security Training Institute will focus on capability building, giving a dedicated institutional platform for cybersecurity and enterprise-technology training, research and sector-wide development. It will cover frontier technologies relevant to the BFSI sector, including quantum computing and artificial intelligence. The Prime Minister will also address the gathering in Bhubaneswar.

The same day, in Varanasi, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Arvind Limited's new garment manufacturing facility, which the government describes as a predominantly women-led initiative, and will attend the Air Force Day Aerial Display-2026 at Namo Ghat, marking the 94th anniversary of the Indian Air Force under the theme "Wings over Ganges". The display will feature the Tejas, the Light Combat Helicopter Prachand, the SU-30MKI and the Rafale.
