Mumbai: Ajay Devgn's crime thriller is past the frenzy of its opening weeks, but it is still adding to a pile that has few equals this year.
On its 22nd day, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion collected ₹1.40 crore net in India, a 33.3% drop from Thursday's ₹2.10 crore. It ran 2,322 shows and sold an estimated 67,215 tickets.
The cumulative India net collection stands at ₹363.25 crore, with a domestic gross of ₹435.20 crore. Overseas markets added ₹25 lakh on Friday, taking the international gross to ₹129.75 crore. Worldwide gross now stands at ₹564.95 crore. Reported footfalls across the run have reached an estimated 15,645,119.
The film opened strongly: ₹245.50 crore in week one, ₹87.50 crore in week two and ₹28.85 crore in week three. The latest daily numbers show a clear cooling compared with the opening weeks.
Occupancy told its own story. The Hindi 2D version ran at 19.85% in all on Friday — 7.50% in the morning, 17.42% in the afternoon, 22.75% in the evening, and 31.75% at night, with attendance improving as the day went on.
The film follows Vijay Salgaonkar years after he evaded the law. Meera Deshmukh returns driven by revenge, and a new Crime Branch officer challenges Vijay's alibis and psychological defences.
The numbers are compiled from public and industry sources and are approximate, changing as official studio data is updated.
The film is still earning, though the daily numbers show a steady slide. New releases in recent weeks have taken screens away from the holdovers. Drishyam 3's run continues past ₹564 crore worldwide, making it one of the year's biggest grossers.
