About Special Livestock Insurance Scheme
"Special Livestock Insurance Scheme" by the Animal Husbandry & Dairying Department, Government of Haryana is a continuation of a welfare initiative targeting scheduled caste families engaged in livestock rearing. The scheme is designed to provide free insurance for livestock, enhancing the economic security of resource-poor Scheduled Caste families. It has been allocated a budget of ₹3,00,00,000/- by the State Government and aims to cover various livestock species, including milch animals, sheep, goats, pigs, pack animals, and camels.

- Free Insurance Coverage: For livestock owned by Scheduled Caste families, ensuring financial protection in case of animal loss.1. Employment Support: Covers livestock units established under the “Scheme for Providing Employment Opportunities to Scheduled Castes (SCSP).”1. Wide Coverage: Includes dairy, piggery, sheep, goat units, milch buffalo, cattle, pack animals, and camels.1. Publicity and Awareness: ₹5,50,000/- allocated for widespread publicity to ensure maximum participation.1. Veterinary Support: Honorarium to Veterinary Surgeons for health and post-mortem certificates.1. Cost-Free to Beneficiaries: Entire costs related to insurance premiums, publicity, and veterinary support are borne by the State Government.
Who is Eligible
- The applicant should be from a Scheduled Caste family.
- The livestock of the applicant should include milch buffaloes, milch cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, pack animals, or camels.
- The animals must be owned by the applicant.
- The animals should be reared within the State.
*Livestock units established under the “Scheme for Providing Employment Opportunities to Scheduled Castes” are automatically eligible.
How to Apply
Offline
Registration
Step 1: The eligible applicant may apply online through the Official Portal- Antyodaya-SARAL Portal. https://saralharyana.gov.in/
Step 2: If the applicant is not registered on the portal, he/she gets registered there.
Step 3: For registration, click “New User” under ‘Sign In Here’ and fill in all the mandatory details i.e. Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, Password & State. Click on ‘Submit’.
Step 04: Verify your mobile number and email ID through the received OTP and complete the registration process.
Application
Step 1: To avail the benefits of the scheme, visit the Official Antyodaya-SARAL Portal and log in through the email ID used while registering.
Step 2: Enter Password & Captcha and click on ‘Login’.
Step 3: After successful login, click on ‘Apply for Services’ and then ‘View all Available Services’
Step 4: Now, you can search for the scheme and click on the scheme to go ahead and fill out the application form.
Step 5: Enter your Parivar Pehchan Patra number - Family ID and click on “Click here to Fetch Family Data” which displays the family members registered under the given Family ID.
Step 6: Select the beneficiary/applicant name and enter the OTP that is being sent to the selected family member for verification. Click on “Click to Verify”
Step 7: Fill in all the mandatory details and upload all the mandatory documents.
Step 8: Preview the application form and click on ‘Submit’.
Tracking of Application:
Applicants can track his/her application through the Official Antyodaya-SARAL Portal by entering their Department Name, Scheme Name, and Application Reference ID.
*In case of loss, file a claim with supporting documents, including the post-mortem report.

- Livestock not registered under the scheme or insured during the eligibility period.
- Claims without proper documentation or post-mortem reports.
