High Altitude Guide Course
About High Altitude Guide Course
The scheme “High Altitude Guide Course” is implemented by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board under the Department of Tourism, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to train and certify youth of Uttarakhand as professional high-altitude guides who have already completed a Low Altitude Guide Course from a recognized institution.
Benefits
The beneficiary will become a certified high-altitude guide upon completing the course.
Who is Eligible
- The applicant must be a youth from Uttarakhand.
- The applicant must have completed a Low Altitude Guide Course from a recognized institution.
The total number of 41 beneficiaries will be selected.
How to Apply
Offline
- Applicants must complete the prescribed application form and submit it along with the required documents to the office of the District Tourism Development Officer.
- Upon completion of the tests, the District Tourism Development Officer will forward the list of shortlisted candidates to the headquarters.
- Final selection of participants will be made by a committee constituted at the headquarters.
