About Assistance for Completely Damaged/Destroyed Houses
The scheme “Assistance for Completely Damaged/Destroyed Houses” is implemented by the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority under the Department of Disaster Management, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to individuals whose residential houses have been completely or partially damaged due to natural disasters in Uttarakhand.
Benefits
Under this scheme, the following assistance is provided:
Pucca house, Kutcha house, severely damaged/destroyed house, or partially damaged/destroyed house: ₹1,20,000/- per house in plain areas.
For hilly areas (including districts covered under the Integrated Action Plan): ₹1,30,000/- per house.
Pucca house (other than hut) with at least 15% damage: ₹6,500/- per house.
Kutcha house (other than hut) with at least 15% damage: ₹4,000/- per house.
Damaged/destroyed hut: ₹8,000/- per hut. (A “hut” means a temporary, transferable, and below-grade unit constructed with materials such as thatch, mud, or plastic, and is traditionally recognised as a hut by the State/District Administration.) Note: The damaged house must be verified as an authorised construction by the competent authority of the State Government.
Cattle shed attached to the house: ₹3,000/- per cattle shed.
Who is Eligible
- The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
- The applicant must be the owner of a disaster-affected house.
How to Apply
Offline
Information about the disaster and the resulting damage is received from various sources. The concerned Patwari verifies the damage and records it in the P-20 form. The Patwari’s report is subsequently verified by the Tehsildar and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate. Approval is then obtained from the District Magistrate. Once the District Magistrate’s approval is received, relief funds are disbursed to the concerned beneficiaries at the Tehsil level.
