About Alpsankhyak Muslim Parityaqta/Talaqshuda Mahila Sahayata Yojana
The scheme "Alpsankhyak Muslim Parityakta/Talaqshuda Mahila Sahayata Yojana" has been operated by the Minority Welfare Department, Government of Bihar, since the financial year 2006-07. The objective of this scheme is to strengthen the economic condition of minority Muslim abandoned/divorced women and make them self-dependent by providing financial assistance.
Benefits
- Under this scheme, the state government provides financial assistance of ₹25,000/- to minority Muslim abandoned/divorced women to strengthen their economic condition and make them self-reliant.
Note: The grant amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiary’s bank accounts through RTGS/DBT.
Who is Eligible
- The applicant should be a resident of Bihar.
- The applicant should be a Muslim woman from a minority community.
- The Muslim woman should fall under one of the following categories:
• Divorced
• Abandoned by her husband for more than 2 years
• Husband is completely mentally handicapped - The applicant's age should be between 18 and 50 years.
- The applicant's annual family income should be less than ₹4,00,000/-.
- The woman should not have remarried.
- The benefits of this scheme are available only once in a lifetime.
- Widow is not eligible for this scheme.
How to Apply
Offline
Step 1: To apply for benefits under this scheme, applicants should visit the office of the District Minority Welfare Officer in their respective district to collect the application form. The application form can also be downloaded from the department's website.
Step 2: Fill out the application form and attach all required documents.
Step 3: Submit the completed application form, along with all attachments, to the District Minority Welfare Office of your district.
Note 1: For applications and more information, please contact the office of the District Minority Welfare Officer located at the District Headquarters.
Note 2: Advertisements for the application of this scheme will be published in newspapers by the Directorate of Minority Welfare.
Note 3: The District Minority Welfare Officer will ensure the scrutiny of applications and attachments as per the prescribed procedure.
Note 4: The names and addresses of beneficiaries will be published on the departmental website and in a daily Urdu/Hindi newspaper. Beneficiaries will also be informed via SMS.

- Proof of age (any one of the following: birth certificate, matriculation or equivalent certificate, voter identity card, passport, or certificate issued by an executive magistrate)

- Certificate of abandonment/divorce/recommendation letter

- Certificate from the District Civil Surgeon in case of the husband's mental disability
- Photocopy of the bank passbook/bank account details
- Any additional documents as required
